Courses

Run/Walk trail lengths are 42km, 21km and 10km.  The two longer trails will take in both The Peak and the Three Rocks landmarks.  The 10km will be a little gentler with it’s elevations and loop through the lower farmland, but still manage some very special views.

The 21km Peak Cross Country MTB track is the same as the running track – expect a bit of carry, a tough ascent and spectacular views combined with some fun downhills.

Our NEW MTB Long track and the Three Rocks MTB 20km start at the Owaka Valley Road start zone and finish at the Clinton Rugby Club – your entry includes transfer back to the start zone.  Security for your bikes will be provided while you collect vehicles.

The two longer trails will take in both The Peak and the Three Rocks landmarks.  The 10km will be a little gentler with it’s elevations and loop through the lower farmland, but still manage some very special views.

The race itself takes in the varied terrain of farmland, track, road, tussock country, forestry and the views from the entire course are magnificent.

Aid stations will be placed at strategic points around the tracks and marshalls will be on hand at intersections and gates.  Most of the course has full cellphone coverage and timing chips/mats will allow competitors to be live tracked.

Start/Finish

Based out of Clinton, South Otago runners, walkers and the 21km Peak Cross Country MTB will start and finish at the local rugby club on Hillfoot Road where there are plenty of toilet and shower facilities.

The MTB Long Track & MTB 20km sections start on Owaka Valley Road and finish at the Clinton Rugby Club.

Local groups will be catering the event and there is plenty of room for supporters to base themselves for the event.

All of our finishers get a medal plus complimentary burger and fizzy refreshment.
